Graduates of HSE ICEF Receive Degrees in Ceremony at British Ambassador Residence
Graduates of HSE University’s International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) traditionally receive their degrees against a backdrop of grand fireplaces, an oak staircase, and a balcony overlooking the Kremlin. This is because the ICEF holds its commencement ceremony at the British ambassador’s residence on the Sofiyskaya Embankment. And this is not by accident. Graduates of the ICEF’s bachelor’s programme receive two degrees from HSE and the University of London, respectively, while graduates of the ICEF’s Master’s Programme in ‘Financial Economics’ receive a degree from HSE and the London School of Economics. This year marked the ICEF’s 19th commencement ceremony.

Project Highlights from HSE’s Master’s Programme in Fashion
Over the past year our students and graduates of the Master’s Programme ‘Fashion’ participated in a diverse array of projects. The emerging designers put on two of their own fashion shows at Rizhsky Station as part of Arts Night 2018 as well as the large festival Telling Stories, participated in exhibitions, collaborated with prominent brand names, and opened a joint showroom in the Klebozavod (Bread Factory) space.

First Cohort Graduates from Master’s Programme in Statistical Learning Theory
The Master's Programme in Statistical Learning Theory was launched in 2017. It is run jointly with the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Skoltech). The programme trains future scientists to effectively carry out fundamental research and work on new challenging problems in statistical learning theory, one of the most promising fields of science. Five Master’s Programmes for Future Researchers
HSE offers a wide range of master’s programmes for all tastes. There are currently 31 programmes taught entirely in English. Some, such as ‘Financial Analyst’ or Prototyping Future Cities, are more practice-oriented; others pave the way for careers in academia. International students can apply online until August 20.

Moscow to Paris: Here, There, and Everywhere
In early July, the fifth summer school organized by French association D’Est together with the HSE Vysokovsky Graduate School of Urbanism, with the support of the French Embassy in Russia and the Paris Mayor’s Office, was held in Paris.
