‘Education Is the Formation of Horizons and Economic Thinking’

'HSE Paved My Road to Harvard'
Nargiz Mammadova, from Azerbaijan, is a 2022 graduate of the Economics: Research Programme and a finalist of the Global Essay Competition in St. Gallen. Students of HSE University’s GSB Present Results of Joint ESG Project with Big Business
HSE University’s Graduate School of Business has hosted the defence of the ‘Sustainable Development Practices’ term papers with an emphasis on the ESG agenda. First-year students of the Master’s programmes ‘Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications’ and ‘Retail Management’ presented group consulting projects on solving real-world cases with social and/or environmental issues from partner companies of the E+Change programme. This is the third year of this unique project between the GSB and E+Change, and is continuing to attract more and more participating companies.

Admissions for ‘Comparative Social Research’ Master’s Programme Now Open
The English-taught master's programme in Comparative Social Research studies sociology from a global perspective and is intended for those who are interested in understanding how people's actions affect society and what influences the decisions and self-identification of individuals and groups in different cultures, regions and circumstances. Students participate in interregional and cross-country quantitative and qualitative research, working on their own projects. The programme’s academic supervisor Ekaterina Mitrofanova told HSE News Service about the course’s features and admission process.
‘The Graduation Ceremony Was the First Time We Saw Each Other’: 2023 MASNA Graduates Celebrate in Person
On July 3, the HSE University building on Pokrovka hosted the graduation ceremony of the Master’s in Applied Statistics with Network Analysis (MASNA). The programme, which trains students to use modern approaches in data and network analysis, is taught fully online in English. We spoke to Jiaxuan Wang, Sergio Camposortega, and Iris Cilenšek, three international students who came to Moscow for the graduation ceremony. The recent graduates shared their thoughts about the online format and finally meeting their classmates in person.
