HSE Vice Rector, Head of the BRICS Expert Council–Russia and Co-chair of the BRICS Civil Forum Victoria Panova, and Dean of the HSE Faculty of Humanities and Chair of the Contest Jury Felix Azhimov, announced the primary objectives of the contest, its format and potential participants during a press conference at TASS. Nationals from the BRICS countries, aged 18 to 45, are eligible to apply for participation in the contest. The jury will select ten winners, three of whom will be given the opportunity to attend the BRICS Civil Forum in Moscow in person.

For the first time, HSE University in St Petersburg introduced international partners to the programmes of continuing professional development (CPD) that have been implemented at the university. The presentation took place during the visit of representatives of the HSE Institute of Continuing Professional Education to India.

A Strategic Session focusing on cooperation between Russia and African countries in the sphere of higher education was held at HSE University's building on Pokrovsky Bulvar. The event was attended by representatives of HSE University, rectors of other Russian universities, and ambassadors and ministers of higher education from several African states.

HSE University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Centre of Information and Arabian-Russian Studies (CIARS) of Saudi Arabia. The agreements reached will contribute to strengthening and advancement of cooperation in the areas of education, research, and culture between HSE University and scientific and educational institutions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

A delegation from HSE University presented the institution at the Indonesia International Education and Training Expo. Additionally, a series of events were organised in Jakarta, the capital city of the country, where representatives from HSE University interacted with Indonesian applicants interested in bachelor's and master's programmes.

A delegation from HSE University in St Petersburg has visited universities in India. HSE representatives attended eight universities, and held meetings with management, teachers, and researchers. The HSE University Representative Office in the Asia–Pacific Region (APR) is launching a campaign to promote academic cooperation opportunities in the region. The programme has been initiated by Bima Ramadhani, head of the representative office, and graduate of HSE University in St Petersburg. The programme focuses on expanding cooperation with both Indonesian universities and other educational institutions within the Asia–Pacific region.

The ‘People of Artek’ international contest is held annually by the Artek International Children’s Centre in Crimea. The contest is open to participants aged 12 to 17. In 2023, school students from 14 countries took part in the contest, with 69 of them visiting the Artek camp as winners.
