Professional interests include large international research infrastructures, bilateral and multilateral cooperation formats in the field of "megascience," science diplomacy, and communication strategies for research infrastructures and organizations.

Previously, held positions as the Head of the Department for International Scientific and Technical Cooperation and Integration at the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Deputy Head of the Department for Comprehensive Programs and Projects in the field of Bio and Social Technologies at the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. Prior to joining the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, he worked at the German Embassy in Moscow, the German-Russian Forum, and Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University.

In 2007, he graduated from Ulyanovsk State Pedagogical University named after I.N. Ulyanov with a degree in Mathematics and Foreign Language Teaching. In 2010, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences on the topic: "The Formation and Development of Multicultural Education in Germany."

In 2021, he began an MBA program in the management of research infrastructures, "Executive Masters in Management of Research Infrastructure," at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
